What you get
A quad is four private rooms and one shared life.
Your own room
A private bedroom with a closet, a chest of drawers, and a desk with a lamp that is actually meant for studying at. Twin bed, sheets and a blanket provided. Bring your own pillow.
A kitchen, not a kitchenette
Full size fridge, cook top, microwave, toaster and coffee maker, in a kitchen and living area that is separate from the bedrooms. So someone cooking at midnight is not cooking next to your bed.
Two bathrooms between four
You share a bathroom with one roommate rather than the whole floor. The unit is centrally air conditioned throughout.
Laundry on the premises
Pay per use machines in Building 1, open six days a week. No hauling a bag across the island.

When the dorms are not at capacity we take tenants on a short-term basis. Availability changes with the academic calendar, so the only way to know is to ask.

The commute
4 minutes from your bed to your lecture.

Cost
$3,950 for the semester, everything in.
Rent, electricity, water and fibre internet are all in that figure, along with the refundable deposit. No monthly bills to set up, no utility accounts in your name, no surprises in week six.
Paid in full before you arrive: $2,000 of it is the non-refundable deposit that secures your room.
The island
Five square miles, one road, and a rainforest on top of a volcano.
Most people arrive on Saba knowing almost nothing about it. There are no traffic lights, and the swimming is bays and tidal pools rather than a resort strip. It has about two thousand neighbours, some of the clearest diving water in the Caribbean, and a shortage of nothing that matters.

Getting a room
Three steps, and none of them are complicated.
Boarding is arranged through the university admissions office. Unaccompanied first semester students at Saba University are expected to live in one of the dormitories.

Email it back with your passport
Send the signed lease and a copy of your passport to the housing office, and tell them how and when you are arriving.
Pay before you travel, then check in
Payment is settled before you arrive, not at the counter. Check in is by appointment, at the office on the lower level of Dorm 2.
